About Us
House of Antara is founded creatively and passionately by Deborah Woong and Allison Jong.
As a child who couldn't stop doodling and writing, Deborah now channels her passion for storytelling in the form of fabric design. Her heritage-inspired illustrations aim to deliver a uniquely Southeast Asian sense of joy and pride.
Rolls and rolls of silk, cotton and satin was the backdrop of Allison's childhood. With every corner of her living room softened by fashion magazines, cut fabric and her mother’s latest creations, she grew up wearing her original designs. And so she dreams of giving one the joy of finding themselves in their truest fashion.
The Spring 2023 Collection
Our debut collection "In Between" is an ode to the Peranakan community, who embodies the marriage of different cultures. Blurring the categories that separate us and creating something beautiful in the middle: that's the Antara spirit.
Feel pretty in iconic motifs commonly found on Peranakan ceramics: lotus, chrysanthemum, plum blossom, insects,
and geometric borders. Each symbolising tenacity, resilience, and hope for the future.
Printed on luxurious flowy satin, these brightly-coloured handmade pieces will make you feel relaxed at home, and regal going out.
